What 3 words best describe your company culture?

Intersectional, Grateful, Authentic

What quote best exemplifies your company?

“Ellevate is the largest community for women+ at work. A powerful coalition of ambitious and supportive women+ who believe there is strength in numbers. We show up for each other, helping everyone — no matter their background or aspirations — build a career they love. And, more importantly, we mobilize our collective power to change the culture of business.”

How is your product or service having a positive social and/or environmental impact?

At Ellevate Network, we’re redefining networking. Although our community is the largest of its kind, we know that navigating a sea of faceless connections is a waste of time. That’s why, at Ellevate, we prioritize the real, authentic relationships that can change your situation, can make a difference in your future.

We help women build meaningful local and digital relationships that can offer insights and open doors. Our community has reach, power and influence, while still remaining warm, welcoming and supportive.

Through collective action, Ellevate is shaping business to be more inclusive. Our goal is full and equal access to power, for everyone. Ellevate is where change makers cultivate their voice, build bridges to understand and mobilize for impact. We work with leading companies to help them hire, retain and improve diversity, equity and inclusion within their organizations.

We also approach our work through a B Corp lens. We want to have a positive impact on our community, our environment, and our team, so we’re always looking to do business the right way, not the easy way. After the pandemic began, we introduced the EllevateHER Forward fellowship, a program for women financially impacted by the pandemic to help them get their careers stabilized and back on track. We launched several new online event series to keep our community connected during these challenging times, and delivered peer mentoring through a 12-week Squads program focused on leading through uncertainty.

What is your company’s vision for the future?

Equality. We believe that when ambitious professional women get more opportunity, it ultimately benefits everyone, and leads to a more equal world. We’re committed to giving these ambitious professional women the community they need to take the next step in their careers — whatever that means to each of them.

By developing premium intimacy and vaginal care products, along with educating customers about how to nurture healthy, loving intimate relationships, we strive to make the world a better place in everything that we do.

How is your product or service having a positive social and/or environmental impact?

As a certified B-Corporation, Good Clean Love is dedicated to the triple-bottom line, and aligning sustainability and ethical business practices in everything we do.

As a champion of sustainability in personal care, we have led significant initiatives for a positive environmental impact. In 2018, our company launched a carbon offset initiative; our flagship product, Almost Naked personal lubricant, became the first-ever Carbon Neutral intimacy product in the world. Good Clean Love now donates $0.04 for each bottle sold to a project that reduces greenhouse gases by an amount equivalent to that bottle’s carbon footprint. The initiative neutralizes the product’s environmental impact and simultaneously serves as a role model for smaller companies seeking to mitigate their effect on climate change.

Good Clean Love is also one of the only personal care product brands whose products are packaged using bioplastic, a material made from recyclable sugar cane. The leading renewable alternative to petroleum-based plastics, bioplastic is made with sugarcane ethanol and is entirely plant-based. Use of bioplastic aids in lowering carbon dioxide emissions, supporting economic growth in cane growing nations and diversifying energy sources.

What is your company’s vision for the future?

We believe everyone should be able to experience wellness and intimacy that results from feeling balanced and confident in one’s body.

GreenMantra Technologies

Ranking: 101

Industry: Clean Technology

Mission: A clean technology company, the first in the world, that upcycles post-consumer and post-industrial recycled plastics. They convert plastics into synthetic polymers and additives that meet specific performance requirements for industrial applications. Endeavoring to close the loop on plastics to be a catalyst for sustainable impact.

What 3 words best describe your company culture?

Gritty, Courageous, Trailblazing

What quote best exemplifies your company?

“Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.” ― Ralph Waldo Emerson

How is your product or service having a positive social and/or environmental impact?

GreenMantra has an opportunity to significantly reduce the amount of plastic that ends up in landfills or oceans by transforming waste plastic into value-creating specialty polymers. GreenMantra’s impact stems from its unique advanced recycling technology, which converts post-use plastics such as bottles, plastic films and bags, carpet backing, and other plastic waste items into specialty polymer additives. These additives can be used back into plastic, creating a full circle. Additionally, they can be used in a variety of construction and infrastructure applications like asphalt roofing and roads ― thereby opening up new markets for this plastic waste that would otherwise end up in our environment.

For every 1 ton of GreenMantra products used, we allow our customers to reduce GHG emissions by 2 tons, diverting 1.1 tons of plastic waste from landfills while also reducing our dependency on crude oil. The materials also offset fossil-based polymers, creating a multiplier effect in their ability to drive sustainability and reduce dependency on crude oil.

What is your company’s vision for the future?

GreenMantra currently utilizes three of the six plastic streams as feedstocks on a commercial scale, and earlier this year, we commissioned a demonstration plan to expand our technology to a new stream of plastic waste ― discarded polystyrene (Styrofoam, foam cups, foam packaging, etc.). By redesigning the polystyrene plastic molecule, a novel product is created that can be used in new applications, expanding the addressable market for the resource while in parallel creating demand and value for its collection.

As we expand our technology platform to accommodate new feedstock streams and as we continue to develop demand in current and new end markets, we are expanding the addressable market for plastic waste-derived materials, while in parallel creating demand and value for its collection. In doing so, GreenMantra has a clear opportunity to impact the recycling rates of plastic.

We are quickly outgrowing our current facility and will build additional manufacturing facilities in the coming years. We envision a future where we ― along with other companies who are inspired by our story ― will create additional ways to extract value from waste plastic to enable a truly circular economy, where plastic is recirculated through the economy and our dependency on crude oil as a feedstock for petrochemicals will be greatly or totally diminished.
