CCDFI is a team of changemakers, both as a company and as individuals. Over our 28-year history, we’ve achieved numerous firsts, demonstrating our commitment to innovation and impact. We were among the first CDFIs to successfully deploy PPP loans to small business owners during the pandemic, providing critical support when it was needed most. We helped launch FVLCRUM, a private equity fund aimed at closing the minority wealth gap. As a long-standing certified B Corp with a score in the top 5% globally, we consistently meet a triple bottom line—people, profit, and planet. Our initiatives, such as the ‘B’ BOLD(ER) paid internship program for low-income high school and college students, institutionalize community engagement beyond our core business activities.

Our impact extends beyond company initiatives to the individual efforts of our staff, who embody CCDFI’s deep commitment to community and social responsibility. Our culture of service is the driving force behind everything we do. We actively engage in group volunteer events, philanthropy, and partnerships that strengthen our ties to the communities we serve. We also provide paid volunteer time, encouraging our employees to give back to causes they care about.

This dedication has led to significant outcomes: last year, our staff volunteered 1,669 hours across 62 organizations. Many of our employees also serve on nonprofit boards, including Boys and Girls Clubs, B Local, Freedom Sings USA, Affordable Housing Clearinghouse, Santiago Little League, Neighborworks, and El Sol Charter School. 2024 volunteering is ongoing, with staff participating in Red Cross blood drives, Earth Day cleanups, State Dept. of Agriculture Nature Challenges, Goodwill Industries volunteering/donations, and much more. CCDFI is also geared up to conduct at least two official company events planned for Q3 and Q4, including a fundraising Alzheimer’s Team Walk. Staff and company community involvement amplifies our overall impact and fosters a culture of empathy, leadership, and social responsibility within CCDFI.

CCDFI should be recognized as one of the Most Impactful People because our team is the heart and soul of our mission. Their unwavering dedication to service goes beyond their professional roles, making a tangible difference in countless lives and setting a powerful example for the industry.
