Real Leaders Customer Terms of Service
Effective Date: January 1, 2020
Company: Real Leaders, Inc. (“Real Leaders,” “we,” “us,” or “our”)
This Customer Agreement (“Agreement”) governs your participation in and purchase of any Real Leaders products, services, memberships, events, subscriptions, awards programs, or related offerings (collectively, the “Services”).
By purchasing, enrolling in, or participating in any Services, you (“Customer,” “you,” or “your”) agree to be bound by this Agreement, along with our Terms of Use.
1. CUSTOMER TYPES AND SCOPE
This Agreement applies to all Real Leaders customers, including but not limited to:
- Real Leaders Council Members (including Core, Board, Signature, or similar memberships)
- Event Attendees (including UNITE, RE:UNITE, workshops, and affiliated events)
- Awards Applicants and Winners
- Subscribers (including magazine, newsletters, or digital subscriptions)
- Any individual or entity purchasing or participating in Real Leaders Services
All customers are subject to the terms outlined herein.
2. ANNUAL CONTRIBUTION AND BILLING (FOR MEMBERSHIPS)
Membership-based Services, including the Real Leaders Council, are structured as an Annual Contribution.
By enrolling in a Membership, you agree to a 12-month participation period, regardless of whether payments are made monthly or annually.
If you elect monthly payments:
- Payments will be automatically charged each month
- Payments are processed via Stripe, a secure third-party payment platform
- You authorize Real Leaders to store and charge your payment method on a recurring basis
All payments are non-refundable, including partial use, non-participation, or unused benefits.
3. CANCELLATION POLICY (MEMBERSHIPS ONLY)
To cancel a Membership, you must provide at least ninety (90) days’ written notice prior to your renewal date.
Cancellation requests must be sent to:
Failure to provide proper notice will result in automatic renewal for an additional 12-month Annual Contribution period.
Example:
If your Membership renews on January 1, your cancellation request must be received no later than October 3 of the prior year. If submitted after that date, your Membership will renew and you remain responsible for all payments.
4. GENERAL PAYMENT TERMS (ALL SERVICES)
Unless otherwise stated:
- All purchases are final and non-refundable
- Pricing, benefits, and availability are subject to change at any time
- Failure to use or access Services does not entitle you to a refund or credit
5. SERVICES, BENEFITS, AND NO GUARANTEES
Real Leaders provides access to community, content, events, recognition programs, and related opportunities.
However, you acknowledge and agree that:
- Participation does not guarantee business outcomes, revenue, partnerships, or visibility
- Events, publications, awards, or programs may be modified, postponed, or canceled at any time
- Benefits, features, or deliverables may change, be delayed, or be discontinued
For Subscribers and non-membership customers:
- You are not guaranteed continued delivery of any specific product, including but not limited to:
- Magazine production
- Events
- Awards programs
- Content or benefits
Real Leaders shall not be liable for any changes, interruptions, or discontinuation of Services.
6. CUSTOMER CONDUCT AND COMMUNITY STANDARDS
Where applicable, including for Members and Event Attendees, you agree to:
- Act with professionalism, integrity, and respect
- Maintain confidentiality of private discussions and shared information
- Refrain from direct solicitation, spamming, or unauthorized promotion
- Avoid disruptive, harmful, or unethical behavior
You may not:
- Use the network or platform to extract contacts for personal gain
- Harass, discriminate against, or harm other participants
- Misrepresent your affiliation or status
7. TERMINATION AND REMOVAL OF ACCESS OR BENEFITS
Real Leaders reserves the right to remove, suspend, or terminate any Customer’s access to Services, benefits, recognition, or participation at any time, with or without cause, at its sole discretion.
This applies to all customers, including:
- Members
- Event attendees
- Award winners
- Subscribers
- Any participant in Real Leaders Services
Termination may occur for any reason, including but not limited to:
- Violation of this Agreement
- Behavior inconsistent with community standards
- Misuse of services or relationships
- Protection of brand, community, or other customers
Upon termination:
- Access to Services will be revoked immediately
- No refunds or credits will be issued
- Any rights to use Real Leaders branding or affiliation must cease immediately
8. USE OF BRAND, AWARDS, AND STATUS
Customers granted recognition (including Members and Award Winners) may receive a limited, non-exclusive, revocable license to use Real Leaders branding, including:
- Membership or Council designations
- Awards logos and graphics
- Certifications or recognitions
You may use such materials for professional and promotional purposes only.
You may not:
- Misrepresent your relationship with Real Leaders
- Alter or misuse branding
- Continue using branding after termination or revocation
Real Leaders reserves the right to revoke these rights at any time.
9. MEDIA RELEASE AND CONTENT USAGE
By participating in any Real Leaders Services, you grant Real Leaders a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free license to:
- Record, publish, and distribute your participation in:
- Events
- Interviews
- Articles
- Podcasts
- Photos and videos
- Use your name, likeness, company information, and contributions for:
- Marketing and promotional purposes
- Editorial and media distribution
- Community and brand development
10. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Real Leaders shall not be liable for:
- Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
- Loss of revenue, business, or opportunity
- Outcomes resulting from participation in Services
All participation is voluntary and at your own risk.
11. MODIFICATIONS
Real Leaders may update this Agreement at any time.
Continued use of Services constitutes acceptance of any updated terms.
12. GOVERNING LAW
This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State of [Insert State].
13. ACCEPTANCE
By purchasing, enrolling in, or participating in any Real Leaders Services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to this Agreement.
FINAL NOTE
Real Leaders exists to bring together leaders who are committed to building something greater than themselves.
Participation is a privilege, not a right.
Access, recognition, and community are earned—and may be revoked to protect the integrity of the whole.
